Student Reeds
Red: This reed is hand-finished, and is our most popular beginner reed. The response is easy, pitch is consistent, and tone is very consistent.
Black: This reed is hand-finished, suitable for beginning and intermediate players. It has smooth response, stable pitch, and a very agreeable sound.
Purple: This is a hand-finished American scrape reed, suitable for beginning and intermediate players. It has a mellow sound, solid intonation, and is easy to play.
Brown: This is a hand-finished American scrape reed, suitable for intermediate and advanced students. It speaks easily, and has a pleasant timbre and good intonation.
Green: This is a hand-finished American scrape reed, appropriate for intermediate and advanced students. It features a lovely tone, fine intonation, and excellent response.
Blue: This is a hand-made American scrape reed suitable for advanced students. It has very consistent response, a sweet and resonant tone, and very dependable intonation.
Professional Reeds
White: This is a professional hand-made American scrape reed with a blended scrape that gives a smooth, honey tone. The intonation is very consistent, and the response is very reliable.
Light Green: This is a professional hand-made American scrape with a long tip, which allows for exceptional response. The blended scrape gives an exquisite velvety sound, and the pitch is very stable.
Gold: This is a professional hand-made American scrape reed. The heart and windows are well-defined, creating a superb tone, excellent pitch stability in all registers, and dependable response.
Aqua: This is a professional hand-made American scrape reed, with an extremely smooth blend between all the sections. It produces a smooth, sweet sound, is very reliable with the pitch, and speaks effortlessly every time.
Multi: This is a professional hand-made American scrape reed, with a springy heart for flexibility, and a contoured tip. It features a vibrant, resonant tone, and a stable pitch with outstanding response in all registers.
Blue: This is a professional hand-made American scrape reed, with a nice opening and an expertly contoured tip, producing a superb sound with a complex, rich tone. This reed has great response and very reliable intonation.
Gray: This is a professional hand-made American scrape Lucarelli-style reed, with clearly defined sections. This reed has a dark, woody tone, and is very flexible, with outstanding response and consistent pitch.
